Simple and Expert modes
계획됨WardPane 2.3에 계획되어 있습니다. 이 기능은 현재 릴리스에 없으며, 이 페이지는 의도된 동작 방식을 설명합니다. 로드맵
WardPane has two modes. Both show the same settings and save them to the same place; they differ in how much detail you see.
Simple mode
Simple mode shows the settings you need to run a site, each with a short hint in plain language next to it. It is meant for people who do not administer servers every day. Every option it hides stays at its safe default.
Expert mode
Expert mode shows every option of every site and of the panel: each protection check with its thresholds, .htaccess processing, PHP and Node.js limits, Cloudflare automation, export and import. The reference pages of this documentation describe these options.
You can switch modes at any time. Switching never changes a setting.
Helpers for beginners
Version 2.0 already starts every site with safe defaults: HTTPS with automatic certificates, a sandbox for every PHP and Node.js site, and reasonable protection settings for new sites. Installation takes one command, and certificates are issued and renewed without your help (see installation and certificates). When something goes wrong, the dashboard counts the sites that need attention, and each site’s status says what the problem is.
Planned for 2.3, together with the modes:
- a setup wizard that walks you through the basics at the first sign-in, one screen at a time;
- protection presets that apply a ready set of checks to a site in one click, after which you can adjust any check in Expert mode;
- health checks of certificates, DNS, PHP and Node.js. The panel will show what needs attention and offer a button for problems it can fix itself.
Tools for experienced admins
- a terminal in the browser;
- Node.js apps under one PM2 daemon per owner, so
pm2 listworks from the owner’s shell; - .htaccess with
mod_rewritefor PHP and static sites; - per-site rules that run in a fixed, documented order;
- a config file per site in an nginx-like syntax, in sync with the forms, with line errors and version history (planned for 2.1);
- Cloudflare automation through its API;
- export and import of every site as JSON;
- published release checksums and the open source code.
