By ticking “I give my consent to the processing of personal data” in the download form on wardpane.com, or by answering “yes” to the same question in the install script, I freely, of my own will and in my own interest, give my consent to the operator to process my personal data on the terms below. This consent is a separate document, as required by Article 9 of the Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ “On Personal Data”, and it also serves as consent under the GDPR where consent is the legal basis.
1. Operator
WardPane Community, the group of developers behind the WardPane open source project. Requests are handled by email at [email protected].
2. Personal data covered
- email address;
- IP address;
- user agent (browser or client name and version);
- interface language;
- the country reported by Cloudflare for my connection;
- records of my consents and of the documents I accepted (versions, time, IP address, user agent, language, source: web form or install script);
- newsletter status;
- records of issued and used download links and codes.
3. Purposes
- sending me a download link or a confirmation code and delivering the WardPane release;
- recording and proving my acceptance of the Terms of use, the Privacy policy and this consent;
- protecting the download service from abuse;
- sending me notices about security problems in a version I downloaded;
- if I ticked the newsletter box and confirmed it: sending me news about releases and security fixes.
4. Actions with the data
Collection, recording, systematisation, accumulation, storage, clarification (updating, changing), extraction, use, transfer (provision, access) to the processors named in the Privacy policy, blocking, deletion and destruction, with and without automation.
5. Storage and transfer
If I connect from an IP address in Russia, the records about me (email address, consents, newsletter status and downloads) are stored in a database on a server in Russia; otherwise they are stored on a server in Switzerland. The website runs on the server in Switzerland, so the requests of all visitors, including the web server logs with IP addresses, are processed there. Data may be processed by Cloudflare as described in the Privacy policy, including cross-border transfer to countries that provide adequate protection of personal data, and to other countries only with the safeguards described there.
6. Term and withdrawal
This consent is valid until the purposes are achieved or until I withdraw it. I can withdraw it at any time by writing to [email protected] from the email address concerned. The newsletter consent is also withdrawn by the unsubscribe link in any email. After withdrawal, the operator stops processing and deletes the data within 30 days, unless the law allows or requires keeping it (for example, the record of the consent itself and its withdrawal). If the terms of this consent change materially, the operator asks for the consent again where the law requires it.
7. Confirmation
I confirm that I have read the Privacy policy and that the email address I gave is mine or that I have the right to use it.
